On 31st October and 7th November, Prangan students of Grades 4 and 5 participated in an engaging Reading Cohesion Activity that focused on enhancing their reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and creative writing skills. The activity was designed to spark creativity while also reinforcing important literary concepts.
The students explored two captivating works by renowned author Sudha Murthy: The Magic of the Lost Temple (Grade IV) and How I Taught My Grandmother to Read (Grade V). Students attempted a fun-filled Short Story Writing exercise, which encouraged students to apply their imagination and newly learned vocabulary in crafting their own stories.
The event was carefully structured to emphasize vocabulary building, where students learned new words in context and were encouraged to use them in their writing. Additionally, the creative writing segment gave the students an opportunity to express themselves freely while strengthening their writing skills.
Both sessions were a huge success, with students thoroughly enjoying the activities and showing great enthusiasm throughout. The event was a fantastic way to enhance the students' literary abilities while fostering a love for reading and writing.
