Prangan buzzed with excitement as young minds came together to celebrate Math Week with creativity, collaboration, and curiosity! The entire block transformed into a vibrant hub of numbers, where courtyard was decorated with fascinating math facts, patterns, and concepts.
The week began with a special presentation by Grade 2 students, where some students confidently represented one of the ten digits from 0 to 9. Their adorable act helped reinforce the importance of every digit in the number system.
All students from Grades 2 to 5 participated in a lively Math Quiz, testing their speed and understanding of basic operations and logical thinking. Adding a heartwarming twist to the celebrations, students of grades 2 & 3 did an activity sheet titled “Math with Kindness”, where they solved math problems that led them to perform acts of kindness—proving that numbers and empathy can go hand in hand and grades 4 and 5 students had fun with the Build Your Own Pizza activity. Working with a set budget, students had to design their dream pizza by choosing toppings—blending budgeting skills with creativity and choice.
Creative hands were at work as each grade designed math-based models: Grade 2 made colorful clay 2D/3D shapes, Grade 3 designed multiplication table bookmarks, Grade 4 built functional clocks, and Grade 5 crafted mini weighing balances to understand measurement.
Math Week was a wonderful blend of fun and learning, where students discovered that mathematics isn’t just in textbooks—it’s all around us. The celebrations left everyone inspired to look at numbers with new eyes and a joyful heart!
