The English Debate Competition was successfully conducted on 2nd July, 2025 showcasing the oratory skills, critical thinking, and confidence of our students across two categories.
Category A (Grades 9 and 10):
Students from Classes 9 and 10 debated passionately on the topic “Social Media is reshaping teenage identity for better or worse”
The participants presented well-researched arguments, engaging the audience and judges alike. Speakers presented thoughtful arguments and strong rebuttals.
Aarav Anand of 9 IG secured the first place, Tavisha Sharma of class 10 C was declared second, while Tanisha Lahoti of 9 IG was third.
Category B (Grades 11 and 12):
Senior students from Classes 11 and 12 tackled the topic “AI in classrooms: A threat to teacher creativity or a tool for empowerment ”
The debate witnessed sharp rebuttals and insightful perspectives, with participants demonstrating excellent poise and articulation.
Priyanshi Thakur of 12 CB emerged as the winner, Tessa Rose of 11 H secured the second position, while third position was shared by two students namely, Garvita Sen of 12 CB and Lailarukh Mehmood of 11 H.
The judges commended all participants for their preparation, delivery, and sportsmanship. They encouraged all students to continue developing their public speaking and analytical skills.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee, teachers-in-charge, and the enthusiastic audience that made the day truly memorable.
