The highly anticipated Sopaan event, the Fireless Cooking Competition, proved to be a spectacular success, bringing together young culinary talents. This unique competition served as a dynamic platform for students to showcase their creativity and innovation through recipes inspired by the theme "Flavours of India." With approximately 450 participants, the event celebrated the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine, as students crafted an array of mouthwatering dishes that reflected the cultural heritage of various states.
A distinguished panel of three internal and three external judges meticulously evaluated the competition. The presence of renowned chefs namely Chef Anup Gupta from Hotel Taj Lakefront, Chef Jeevan from Hotel Jehan Numa Palace, and Chef Narendra Singh Rajput from Hotel Safal Retreat, as the external judges added prestige to the event, as they shared their expertise and encouragement with the budding chefs. The internal judges for the event were Mr. Vishal Nandwana, Ms. Suniti Jaitely and Ms. Sweta Tiwari.
The event featured 39 teams of students, each presenting a sumptuous spread of creative, flavorful, and aesthetically pleasing dishes. From traditional delicacies to modern interpretations, the competition showcased an extraordinary blend of innovation and cultural pride. The judges were effusive in their praise, appreciating not just the taste but also the effort, presentation, and attention to detail displayed by the participants.
This vibrant celebration of culinary art not only highlighted the students' talent but also fostered a spirit of teamwork, creativity, and respect for India's diverse gastronomic traditions.
