The Round Square Week celebration at Prangan from October 14th to 18th was a vibrant and enriching experience that embraced the ideals of Round Square. The week featured a series of activities aimed at educating students about the Round Square organization while fostering an appreciation for global diversity.
Throughout the week, students engaged in various sessions designed to educate them about the history and purpose of the Round Square organization. They explored the significant work done by The Sanskaar Valley School in promoting Round Square ideals, reinforcing the importance of community service, leadership, and global citizenship.
Students were also engaged in various activities, including creating placards of Round Square discovery heroes and exploring the virtues they embody. They also participated in a nature walk, where they observed the diversity of plant life around them. Additionally, the Grade 4 students presented an informative slideshow on their favorite animals, highlighting the crucial roles these animals play in the ecosystem.
One of the standout activities during the week was the "Cohesion of Cultures" event, where students proudly dressed in traditional attires from various countries around the world. This colourful display of cultural diversity allowed children to not only learn about different customs and traditions but also to celebrate the rich tapestry of global heritage. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students shared insights about the countries they represented, promoting a deeper understanding of internationalism.
The week culminated in an inspiring assembly presentation by Grade 3 A, on the theme "Discovery Heroes." Students also showcased their artistic talents by creating placards featuring their chosen discovery heroes, illustrating the impactful contributions of various individuals to society. This activity not only enhanced their artistic skills but also fostered a sense of pride in learning about figures who embody the spirit of discovery and adventure.
In alignment with the Round Square principle of adventure, an "Adventure Day" was organized as part of the sports lessons. This day encouraged students to participate in a variety of adventurous activities that promoted teamwork, resilience, and a spirit of exploration. Students embraced new challenges, fostering personal growth and camaraderie among peers.
The Round Square Week celebration at Prangan was a tremendous success, effectively highlighting the commitment of The Sanskaar Valley School to promoting internationalism and cultural awareness.
