Date of Upload: 2024-10-18

Grade 6 Cambridge students took charge in an exciting masterclass on Haiku poetry, showcasing their research and collaboration skills. Forming their own groups, they explored the art of Haiku and used flipped classroom techniques to share their insights with their peers. This engaging learning journey not only deepened their understanding of Haiku poems but also honed their ability to reflect on and present their learnings. In the next phase, students worked in pairs to choose a Haiku poem, analyze its theme and message, and select an image that best represented it. They also practiced reciting the poem in the appropriate mood and tone, further developing their interpretive skills. This rich, hands-on experience encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and communication, making it a truly insightful and rewarding learning process!

Budding poets: in continuation of learning about Haiku poem, today students tried their hand on writing one . They went out for a nature walk . Each one was inspired by one object they saw, got inspired, made mind maps( thinking skills) with words related to that object from nature and worked in groups to write their poems. ( social skills) . They will now combine their individual poem with the group and come up with a new poem all together.( creative thinking skills) . A very fruitful learning engagement.
