Grade 5 students recently engaged in an exciting butter-making activity as part of their exploration into livestock and dairy products in agriculture. Using heavy whipping cream and a glass jar, they embarked on a hands-on journey. By vigorously shaking the jar, they witnessed a magical transformation as cream turned into creamy, homemade butter. This activity not only deepened their understanding of dairy production but also promoted sustainable practices. Following their butter-making adventure, students incorporated their freshly churned butter into their favorite recipes, from fluffy pancakes to delicious buttered toast. They documented this culinary masterpiece with a picture in their Social Studies notebooks, celebrating agriculture's role in their daily lives.
