Two engaging experiments were conducted by 8th-grade students at our school, each shedding light on the concept of metal reactivity and the reactivity series. In the "Reactivity Series Race," students they have participated in a lively classroom competition to determine the relative reactivity of different metals. This hands-on activity made learning fun and helped students grasp the order of metal reactivity in an interactive way.
In the second experiment, students immersed various metals in a copper sulfate solution. By carefully observing and recording any changes that occurred, they could identify the relative positions of these metals in the reactivity series. These experiments fostered a deeper understanding of metal reactivity, making science come alive in our classroom.
