Assignment on “Personalities who broke the Gender Stereotypes”
“The problem with gender stereotyping is that it prescribes how we should be rather than actually recognizing how we are.”
The super-talented researchers of Grade 3 presented a fantastic assignment based on their chapter, Changing Roles Of Girls & Boys. They were given a task to describe those famous personalities of our country who have inspired them by proving that gender is no bar if a person is working very hard with consistency and determination. Students wrote about such personalities, their achievements and how they faced gender stereotyping. Mithali Raj, Sanjeev Kapoor, Sudha Murty, Lt.Shivangi Singh, Avani Chaturvedi, PT Usha, Kalpana Chawla, Manish Malhotra, Gunjan Saxena, Sabyasachi Mukherjee etc. were some of the personalities which students took as their inspiration for this assignment. They even pasted the pictures and decorated their work of to enhance its presentation. It was an absolute delight to see their sincere efforts for the assignment.
