“Speech is Power: Speech is to Persuade, to Convert, to Compel.”

Speaking Skills are one of the most crucial forms of versatilities that make an individual stand out of the crowd by expressing the best of thoughts and notions. They add to the credibility of the individual in every aspect of life. Hence, it is implausible to deny the significance of the speaking skills to ensure that every budding orator gets meticulous with those skills through a platform that provides students with the opportunity to express.

Prangan endeavored to take a step forth to organize an interactive J.A.M. competition. Two students from each section were selected after clearing the Preliminary Roundconducted in the class during English periods where each student got a chance to make it to the final competition. Finalround J.A.M.(Just A Minute) was organized on 23rd June 2023 to have a peek at the oratory skills of the students. Students of Grade4 enthusiastically participated for the same and brought out the best of their narration skills on the designated topics.

Students were given a topic on the spot and were given 1 minute preparation time. All the contestants were eloquent and imaginative in their ideas.  They spoke on varied topics. The speakers were judged for content, pronunciation, body language and presentation.  Though, it was their very first attempt they impressed one and all by exhibiting perfect nuances and finer points of the art of Public Speaking. Today’s effort was a small step in enhancing our students’ oratory skills. 

The teachers and the students savoured the entire event and wished to participate and enjoy other such insightful events in the coming future.
