“A child who reads will be an adult who thinks.”
Reading is like dreaming with eyes wide open, star gazing in broad daylight, feeling warmth in the rain, and whatnot.
Distinguishing the importance of reading and marking the initiation of the Novels, the Pranganites celebrated Reading Fest on 31st, March Friday. Reading is a habit that one will never regret and inculcating it in the students of Prangan is of utmost importance. The students of Prangan were introduced to their novels for the year through fun-filled enactments by the teachers where they were enthralled to meet so many interesting characters from different novels. This wonder and magic of books were exhibited in the Umang Hall through an array of reading activities and a drama that unfolded why Reading books is important. The aim of this activity was to encourage students to discover the joy of reading books. To enhance their literary skills and to inculcate good reading habits, students were encouraged to participate in a Raffle. The tiny hands with big hearts came forward to donate storybooks for the underprivileged.
The students enjoyed the activity ‘Reading Fest’, and they were full to the brim with joy and enthusiasm as they developed a new hunger to read.
And now, one thing the little readers of Prangan will always have, is vast knowledge and even vaster imagination.
