We Are The Bucket Fillers

As Oscar Wilde said, “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” The students of Grade V F conducted an assembly to make the young Pranganities aware of the ‘invisible bucket’ each one of us are carrying. These buckets are constantly being filled or emptied depending on what we say or do to us. The students of grade VF emphasized that as we fill other people’s buckets—by saying or doing things to increase their positive emotions—we are also filling our own bucket. But when we use the ‘dipper’ to dip from others’ buckets—by saying or doing things that decrease their positive emotions—we diminish our buckets too. When our buckets are full, we feel great. When they are empty, we feel awful. The students of VF motivated everyone to practice filling one another’s buckets with appreciation and kindness through a skit and a song.
