On the 10th of July, 2017, students of grade 11 and 12 of The Sanskaar Valley School attended a session taken by Ms. Poonam Venkatesh, representative of the most innovative university in the U.S, Arizona State University.

Being ranked among the top five universities, ASU has six large campuses spread all across the Arizona State with easy access to all. More than 80,000 students being a part of ASU feel the sense of diversity and equality beaming throughout on each of the six campuses. Not only does 88%of ASU undergraduates receive a job offer within ninety days of applying but also there University frequently holds Career fairs for its students.

Arizona State University's student body is a global community of scholars, with more than 10,000 students representing 135+ countries. Among the top 10 schools for international students, we are committed to ensuring that all students achieve their goals, realize and uphold their personal and global responsibilities and engage in the full Sun Devil experience.

Besides giving all the informative details about ASU, Ms. Venkatesh also broke a very common misconception of Indian students of having a good SAT score to get into any U.S universities. She opened our eyes about how only Business and Engineering courses requires SATs and everything else only needs a G.P.A score of above 3.

The Session taken by Ms. Venkatesh was not only educative but also quite fun as she made sure that the session was an interactive one. She also invited the students who were interested in joining any U.S universities to have an one-on-one session with here where she guided us through our quarries.

As a concluding statement, Ms. Venkatesh made us realize that the application process of ASU is really simple compared to other universities. She assured us by saying that there are people in every department that are there to make sure we succeed and everyone is really rooting for us.
