Assembly Class 8 D

Assembly Class 8 D

On the 22nd of March, 2017, students of grade 8D presented the assembly on “gratitude” and through a sequence of activities conveyed to the audience that live always being thankful with the Attitude of gratitude.

Gratitude unlocks the completeness of life and turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. Gratitude means thankfulness, noticing simple pleasures, and counting your blessings. With this, 8D kicked off their tribute to gratitude. Students performed a short skit which depicted the importance of being thankful in our daily life. It conveyed that in the hustle bustle of daily life we tend to become ungrateful and start ignoring the small pleasures of life like being in good health, being with family and friends etc, Life would be better without hassles if we just notice the simple things that give us joy. Students advised the young Sopaanians to take up the 30 day challenge of being grateful in life and experience the transformation into a better, positive and a grateful individual.

Students also acquainted the importance of 22nd March as it is celebrated every year as World Water day. Our fellow peers discussed about the importance of water and how we should save it.  The assembly left the audience with a thought that each day is a blessing; we should learn to count our blessings.

Sopaan block head, Ms Lubna Niazi Warsi appreciated the children of grade 8 D for their choice of theme and beautifully conveying the message. She concluded the assembly with a famous quote by Maya Angelou”, This is a wonderful day, I have never seen this one before”.
