Assembly Grade VB –Friends Forever ‘E’ and I

English serves as a window to the world.

Students of Grade 5B presented an assembly titled ‘Friends Forever ‘E’ and I, beautifully depicting the significant role of powerful communication .They focused on importance of English Language .They presented a small skit in which they personified English and presented it as a friend ‘E’ who stands by us in times of need.  

A joyful dance performance by the students on the song ‘The more we get together, the happier we will be’ enthralled the audience. The song appreciated English as a friend and conveyed the message that a close association with English will help you to be more confident and powerful, and a happier person than ever before. 

One by one the students showed how their friend English allows them access to incredible knowledge through various sources. Theythrew light uponthefour basic skills of language, urging the audience to listen, speak, read, write and above all think in English, if one really wants to have command on it. 

The assembly concluded on a happy note wishing everyone a Happy New Year as the day celebrated GudiPadwa andUgadi. As a New Year resolution, the students took a pledge to speak English all the time. 

At the end, the Headmistress Ms. ManpreetBhan addressed the students, further highlighting theinevitable role of English, which being a global language opens our mind to an entirely new perspective on the world. She appreciated the students for their efforts and supported them by emphasizing on Spoken English by the students.

After the assembly, now was the turn of public speaking; three students of Class 4F were invited to present their topics. They spoke confidently, and were appreciated by the headmistress for their good selection of topics and their efforts to prepare them.
