SAP - Career Outlook Defence & Armed Forces

On 27th March 2017 a SAP session was organized by Samcara on the Careers in the Armed forces for the students of Grade 12th.

Er. C.S. Kandal the founder director of CS Institute of Defence and Management Bhopal gave guidance to the students on Careers in the Armed forces, he discussed all about the rare blend of adventure, good career prospects and a prestigious job.  There are two academies a candidate can choose from National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. Recruitment of candidates to Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA), is through National Defence Academy Entrance Exam which is held twice a year, generally in the month of April and September. NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC. He also discussed about the Combined Defence Services and said it is for those young and courageous individuals who nurture a patriotic sentiment, who are willing to take on any kind of challenges and dedicate their lives to defending the country and its people, the Common Defence Service Test is the path to join the nation's Defence forces. 

He also discussed about Women Officers in Indian Army , how a student can get into Armed Forces and clearing the SSB Interviews. He informed students about the several special concessions are offered by the Armed Forces to its Officers which are not available in any other service. He said if a candidate is interested he/she is required to give his preference for the service he wishes to join, however the final decision also depends on the rank he secures in the merit list.


He discussed about the value based personality training required, particularly to young men and women aspiring to become officers in the Defence Forces of the country. Management games, psychology tests, case studies, self exploration sessions, outdoor problem solving and challenging physical obstacles assist the participants in achieving the particular career.
