As part of Earth Day celebrations, a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted in the Shikhar block on 22nd April during the morning assembly. One student from each class (9 to 12) participated in the initiative, representing their peers in this meaningful step towards environmental awareness and sustainability.
The activity was held in the school where students planted saplings assigned to their respective classes. The venue was prepared in advance with all necessary arrangements including saplings, tools, soil, and water, ensuring smooth execution of the event.
The plantation drive not only aimed to enhance the greenery on campus but also to instill a sense of responsibility among students towards nurturing nature. Each class pledged to care for their planted sapling throughout the academic year.
The event concluded with a message reinforcing the importance of trees in combating climate change and maintaining ecological balance. It was a successful and inspiring start to many such green initiatives.
